Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers
Coming Home

The very best bar band in the world is back!!!

Joe Grushecky released, together with his band the Houserockers, their 5th album. Grushecky is back with the typical Houserockers sound and some new experiments.
For this time, Bruce Springsteen has just co-written four songs: "I’m Not Sleeping", "Idiot’s Delight", "Cheap Motel" and "1945". He neither produced the album nor is he playing on a song. That’s good. Remember the last album from the Houserockers, "American Babylon", which sounds more like a Springsteen/Grushecky album than a Houserockers album. Bruce had too much influence on "American Babylon". Me, personally, I love Grushecky’s music. So if I wanna listen to Grushecky, then I don’t wanna listen to Bruce. Check out the albums from Grushecky’s first band, the IRON CITY HOUSEROCKERS. If you listen to that music, then you’ll know what I mean. Anyway, this is the past.

"Coming Home" contains songs dedicated to every father in the world ("1945"), songs dedicated to every wife in the world ("In Our Little Room"), as well as songs dedicated to every child in the world ("Innocence Is Beautiful"). These are mostly ballads. Really cool Rock’n’Roll songs are "Everything’s Going To Work Out Right", "It’s A Hell Of A Life", "I’m Not Sleeping" and others. Grushecky’s music is still so powerful that it could blow up the roof from every bar in the world! This album is definitely a must. It doesn’t matter what you like!
