Tequila Milanese
We all know that Bruce’s favorite drink is Tequila. On his latest tour we also learned something about the way he likes to drink it. You probably all remember the story about the girl in the bar, where Bruce actually wanted only to make a call. Even though Bruce was a little surprised, when the girl rubbed some lime over his neck, sprinkled some salt on it, licked it off and drank her Tequila, he seemed to like it.
That this recipe is incomplete, I only found out on a party on the 1st of August last year. I was quite unsuspecting when some people came to our table and sat down with some Tequilas, some limes and a salt shaker. But when the girl suddenly started to lick her friend’s neck, I had to ask her if she knew Bruce Springsteen. Her answer was a short "Just a minute!", and then, I really was astonished: After the girl had drunk her Tequila down – and I already thought that’s the end of the ceremony -, she kissed her friend on the mouth and let him have half of her sip of Tequila. Then she turned to me and wanted to know, what this was to do with Bruce Springsteen. I told her about Bruce’s special liking and she informed me, that she learned about this kind of drinking Tequila in Brazil and that its called "Tequila Milanese".
For me there is just one question open: Did Bruce know about this, or did he withhold it from us on purpose ...
