Manuel: Big big night in Jersey. What an amazing show. Great to hear 'night' but the highlight was the mindblowing 'nyc serenade'!! The crowd was much better than the last few nights...

Hal: I have no idea how Bruce will top tonight's show but I'm just glad I'm going to be there to see him try.  Needless to say, the set list was awesome as I got my Night and Downbound, as well as excellent versions of Trapped, Indy Day, and She's The One.  But the moment that will be remembered for as long as I'm lucky enough to be around will be the unbelievable version of NYC Serenade, which they nailed more than was previously imaginable.  Bruce was on fire the entire night.  He was more locked in than I've witnessed at any show in '99.  The Band was equal to his incredible level of performance.  Truly amazing.  It was easily one of the best shows I've seen..

Land of Hope and Dreams ends. 
Bruce takes center stage. And this is as best as I can remember what happened.
Bruce: "Thanks, thank you, thank you. [applause rains and then dies down]. We want to thank you for
coming out to these shows here. It's a great gift to make this music come to life here. This represents a
rebirth of this band. A rededication to serving you better [big applause]. I wonder how I can say thanks?
Us: "Rosie!"
Bruce with his hand on his chin coyly: "I wonder how I can say thanks?"
Us: "Rosalita!"
Bruce: "Maybe there's one way ..."
We are exploding now.
Bruce: "OK, maybe just this once."
The house lights go up full blare and the band rolls into Rosalita. You asked for it. You voted for it. You
pleaded for it. You got it.
